Michael Hahn is an investor, operator, and entrepreneur with deep experience acquiring complex, often cross border, under-managed corporate carve-outs and ‘re-setting’ the ethos, focus, and approach of the business to reach the maximum potential of the business.

He created his family office in 2017 to invest through Ten Oaks Group, a family office partnership he created with another family office. As co-founder of Ten Oaks Group, he helped build a differentiated investment platform focused on executing complicated transactions with speed, certainty, and operational rigor

Across 30 transactions spanning a vast array of industries and geographies, he developed a reputation for:

  • Creative structuring to meet the unique needs of corporate sellers

  • Partnering closely with customers of portfolio companies to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Relentless focus on doing whatever it takes to make the business successful to ensure a long-term home for the employees and customers with a ‘can do’ attitude

He later re-branded his family office to be WH4, where he is continuing this work independently, pursuing opportunities where corporate sellers are looking for some combination of a trusted, family-oriented buyer, an expeditious and flexible closing, a deeply experienced corporate carve-out specialist, strong responsiveness throughout the transaction, and/or customer/employee continuity.

Michael holds a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Columbia Business School and serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Private Equity Program at Columbia.

Michael lives in London with his wife and two children.
